25th IncluDE Lunch Seminar was held

The 25th IncluDE Lunch Seminar was held on July 14, 2025.

The 25th session featured two presentations by TANGSINMUNKONG Pattajit, ONO Hitomi. The presentation materials are available in the archive.

In this lunch seminar, we exchanged information on educational practices for learning history beyond the exclusiveness of discourse, as well as the relationship between gender in Islamic law and ancient Greek thought.

After the two presentations, we shared information on teaching methods and approaches for students from diverse cultural and academic backgrounds. We also discussed the importance of understanding Islam and Islamic law free from preconceptions, and the topic of women’s education in the Islamic world.

※The IncluDE Lunch Seminars, organized by the Office for DEI Coproduction Strategies, have been held about twice a month since the establishment of IncluDE in April 2024. These seminars provide an opportunity for concurrent faculty and full-time members of IncluDE research divisions to share  their cutting-edge research in DEI-related areas.

The seminars aim to generate new insights  for both practice and research by bringing together faculty members who are researching various minority issues, including not only barrier-free and gender/sexuality issues but also nationality, ethnicity, religion, language, and others, fostering a frank exchange of opinions.
