On Friday, November 14, 2025, we held a role-playing workshop as part of Women’s Week hosted by the Institute for Solid State Physics (ISSP) at the University of Tokyo. Beforehand, we held several meetings with members of the Diversity Committee of ISSP to discuss the cases used in the role-playing workshop. On the day of the event, 16 faculty members were divided into four groups, and after a short lecture, they participated in the role-playing exercises.
We received feedback such as, ‘Unlike regular lecture-style training, it was a valuable opportunity for sharing awareness of issues and for communication.’ Moving forward, we hope to consider what can be done through IncluDE as we plan to hold joint training sessions with other departments.
