23th IncluDE Lunch Seminar PRIDE MONTH special version② was held

The 23th IncluDE Lunch Seminar was held on June 17, 2025.

The 22nd PRIDE MONTH special version② featured two presentations by KIM Jihye, TAKANO Akira on the theme of diversity, including gender and sexuality. The presentation materials are available in the archive.

In this lunch seminar, we exchanged information on the activities of the universities participating in Tokyo PRIDE 2025 and on the current status and challenges of SOGI diversity support in student counseling.

After the two presentations, we discussed ideas on what the University of Tokyo or IncluDE could work on as a movement to respect and support SOGI diversity and how to collaborate to reach students who may be left out of the existing support system.

※The IncluDE Lunch Seminars, organized by the Office for DEI Coproduction Strategies, have been held about twice a month since the establishment of IncluDE in April 2024. These seminars provide an opportunity for concurrent faculty and full-time members of IncluDE research divisions to share  their cutting-edge research in DEI-related areas.

The seminars aim to generate new insights  for both practice and research by bringing together faculty members who are researching various minority issues, including not only barrier-free and gender/sexuality issues but also nationality, ethnicity, religion, language, and others, fostering a frank exchange of opinions.
