15th IncluDE Lunch Seminar was held

The 15th IncluDE Lunch Seminar was held on February 28, 2025.

The 15th session featured two presentations by MATSUDA Yuji, MUTO Kaori. The presentation materials are available in the archive.

In this lunch seminar, the participants exchanged information on the importance and challenges of approaching the needs of the individuals involved from the perspective of the built environment (housing), as well as on how to conduct responsible genome science research and protect human rights.

After the presentations by the two speakers, we discussed the importance of actively incorporating the perspectives of the individuals involved in order to create and support environments that match the characteristics of each person and their associated needs, as well as the impact of diversity, including disability, culture, and religion, on genome science and the actual support beyond genome medical science.

※The IncluDE Lunch Seminars, organized by the Office for DEI Coproduction Strategies, have been held about twice a month since the establishment of IncluDE in April 2024. These seminars provide an opportunity for concurrent faculty and full-time members of IncluDE research divisions to share  their cutting-edge research in DEI-related areas.

The seminars aim to generate new insights  for both practice and research by bringing together faculty members who are researching various minority issues, including not only barrier-free and gender/sexuality issues but also nationality, ethnicity, religion, language, and others, fostering a frank exchange of opinions.
