The 14th IncluDE Lunch Seminar was held on February 12, 2025.
The 14th session featured two presentations by FUKUNAGA Genya, OHARA Miho. The presentation materials are available in the archive.
In this lunch seminar, we exchanged information on the goals and practices of education and awareness-raising for promoting diversity and inclusion (D&I) in universities, as well as gender disparities in the field of disaster management.
Following presentations by two speakers, we discussed strategies for engaging university members who may not have an interest in diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) and explored the necessity of incorporating a DEI perspective into disaster preparedness and response efforts.

※The IncluDE Lunch Seminars, organized by the Office for DEI Coproduction Strategies, have been held about twice a month since the establishment of IncluDE in April 2024. These seminars provide an opportunity for concurrent faculty and full-time members of IncluDE research divisions to share their cutting-edge research in DEI-related areas.
The seminars aim to generate new insights for both practice and research by bringing together faculty members who are researching various minority issues, including not only barrier-free and gender/sexuality issues but also nationality, ethnicity, religion, language, and others, fostering a frank exchange of opinions.
