13th IncluDE Lunch Seminar was held

The 13th IncluDE Lunch Seminar was held on January 21, 2025.

The 13th session featured two presentations by SHIMIZU Akiko, TAKANO Akira. The presentation materials are available in the archive.

In this lunch seminar, presenters exchanged information on the significance and methods of developing and teaching feminist theory in the academic field of universities, as well as on the activities of student counseling centers at universities and their contribution to DEI.

Following presentations by two speakers, we discussed ideas on how to promote D&I in the future as the backlash spreads globally, and how to ensure that students who need help are not isolated on campus and are easily connected to assistance.

※The IncluDE Lunch Seminars, organized by the Office for DEI Coproduction Strategies, have been held about twice a month since the establishment of IncluDE in April 2024. These seminars provide an opportunity for concurrent faculty and full-time members of IncluDE research divisions to share  their cutting-edge research in DEI-related areas.

The seminars aim to generate new insights  for both practice and research by bringing together faculty members who are researching various minority issues, including not only barrier-free and gender/sexuality issues but also nationality, ethnicity, religion, language, and others, fostering a frank exchange of opinions.
