UTokyo Inclusive Campus-Building Project
As a key initiative of the University of Tokyo’s 150th Anniversary commemorative activities under the theme “Kyozon – Reflecting, Creating, Connecting” (u-tokyo.ac.jp), we have launched the UTokyo Inclusive Campus‑Building Project to advance Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI).
Our mission is to create an educational and research environment where every member of our community is fairly included. We are taking action in three strategic areas:
- Enhancing the physical campus environment (e.g., automatic door installations, barrier‑free facilities)
- Improving information accessibility through better digital and communication support
- Supporting career development, including pathways for students, researchers, and staff across all life stages
By fostering greater diversity, we enhance research quality and drive socially impactful outcomes. With your generous support, we aim to establish an inclusive campus that will thrive for the next 150 years and beyond.
We warmly invite your continued support and encourage you to explore the following link for a message from the project director and to make a contribution: https://utf.u-tokyo.ac.jp/project/pjt195 (Japanese only)
