The 21th IncluDE Lunch Seminar was held on May 23, 2025.
The 21th session featured two presentations by SATOMURA Yoshihiro, MASAOKA Mio. The presentation materials are available in the archive.
In this lunch seminar, we exchanged information about the activities of the Utokyo Center for Diversity in Medical Education and Research (CDMER) and the Center for Research on Counseling and Support Service, as well as about creating an inclusive university environment.
After the two presentations, we discussed the importance of requiring D&I education and educational courses on diversity, and how we should view various factors such as “disability,” “culture,” and “language” for achieving a barrier-free medical and counseling support field. In addition, information on the support system of support organizations at universities was shared.

※The IncluDE Lunch Seminars, organized by the Office for DEI Coproduction Strategies, have been held about twice a month since the establishment of IncluDE in April 2024. These seminars provide an opportunity for concurrent faculty and full-time members of IncluDE research divisions to share their cutting-edge research in DEI-related areas.
The seminars aim to generate new insights for both practice and research by bringing together faculty members who are researching various minority issues, including not only barrier-free and gender/sexuality issues but also nationality, ethnicity, religion, language, and others, fostering a frank exchange of opinions.
