12th IncluDE Lunch Seminar was held

The 12th IncluDE Lunch Seminar was held on January 10, 2025.

The 12th session featured two presentations by NAKATSU Mami, KUBO Kyoko. The presentation materials are available in the archive.

In this lunch seminar, we learned about examples of barrier-free activities and engaged in a discussion on the challenges associated with the “long-hours culture” in academia. Following presentations by two speakers, we exchanged information on barrier-free book publishing and discussed changes in attitudes and approaches to the “culture of long research hours” across various academic fields.

※The IncluDE Lunch Seminars, organized by the Office for DEI Coproduction Strategies, have been held about twice a month since the establishment of IncluDE in April 2024. These seminars provide an opportunity for concurrent faculty and full-time members of IncluDE research divisions to share  their cutting-edge research in DEI-related areas.

The seminars aim to generate new insights  for both practice and research by bringing together faculty members who are researching various minority issues, including not only barrier-free and gender/sexuality issues but also nationality, ethnicity, religion, language, and others, fostering a frank exchange of opinions.
