9th IncluDE Lunch Seminar was held

The 9th IncluDE Lunch Seminar was held on November 27, 2024.

The 9th session featured two presentations by HOSHIKA Ryoji, KIRIHARA Kenji. The presentation materials are available in the archive.

In this lunch seminar, we exchanged information on challenges in DEI practices, including the issues of majority dominance underlying the experiences of various minority groups and student support, from the perspective of the social model of disability. Following presentations by two speakers, we engaged in discussions about the difficulties of awareness-raising and support through examples of training programs and workshops.

※The IncluDE Lunch Seminars, organized by the Office for DEI Coproduction Strategies, have been held about twice a month since the establishment of IncluDE in April 2024. These seminars provide an opportunity for concurrent faculty and full-time members of IncluDE research divisions to share  their cutting-edge research in DEI-related areas.

The seminars aim to generate new insights  for both practice and research by bringing together faculty members who are researching various minority issues, including not only barrier-free and gender/sexuality issues but also nationality, ethnicity, religion, language, and others, fostering a frank exchange of opinions.
